Koh Wua Ta Lap
Want to go to an unspoilt island? Koh Wua Ta Lap might be for you. It is located in the Ko Ang Thong Mu National Park, a marine national park comprising 42 islands. Accessible by ferry, Koh Wua Ta Lap offers a magnificent view of the neighbouring islands. Another highlight is its white sandy beaches and turquoise water, ideal for relaxing and snorkelling. A hike will allow you to discover the other treasures of this place.
Koh Similan
This island is one of the nine islands that make up the Similan Islands, in a national park. Koh Similan is different from the other islands because it is the largest of the archipelago. It is an ideal place for scuba diving and hiking. You can relax in Donald Duck Bay, a pleasant cove with rock formations, including a particular 'candle' shaped one.
Koh Tao
Located near Koh Samui, Koh Tao (which means turtle island) is one of the best diving spots in Thailand. You will be able to observe whale sharks, rays and turtles, as well as beautiful coral reefs. The beaches are also beautiful and the island has a lively party scene with restaurants and bars.
Koh Surin Nuea and Koh Surin Tai
Located in the Surin Marine National Park, which is made up of five islands, Koh Surin Nuea and Koh Surin Tai are the only ones that are inhabited. Very quiet and unspoilt, they are a true haven of peace. The diving spots are incredible, the beaches are heavenly and nature and hiking lovers will be delighted. The rainforest is home to many animals, including monkeys, birds and monitor lizards.
Koh Chang
Koh Chang, which means "elephant island", is one of the largest islands in Thailand. But, unlike Phuket and Koh Samui, it is relatively protected from tourists thanks to environmental protection by the authorities. Here you can enjoy the beach, the nature, and of course the restaurants and a few bars to party at night.
Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta was made famous by the famous TF1 adventure show. The site actually consists of two islands: Lanta Yai and Lanta Noi, in the Mu Koh Lanta National Park. The first one is much more touristic, but remains well preserved. Among the beaches to discover, we recommend Klong Yak and Bamboo Bay. There are many nice bars and restaurants along the coastline. You can also take a walk through the rainforest to see the monkeys.
Koh Kood
Situated close to Cambodia, this island, untouched by tourism, is the perfect place to relax. The scenery is beautiful, the people charming and the place is not overcrowded. So it's ideal for a romantic holiday! In addition to the beautiful beaches of Tapao, Klong Yai Kee and Chao, you can enjoy snorkelling, waterfalls and mangroves.
Koh Samet
This island is only 220 km from Bangkok. It is the ideal place to enjoy white sand and coconut trees after spending a few days in the Thai capital. Again, you'll find beautiful beaches, turquoise seas for snorkelling, and plenty of restaurants and bars.
Koh Yao Noi
If you want a place to disconnect, Koh Yao Noi is the place for you. Located in the Koh Yao archipelago, close to Phuket, it has managed to keep itself free from tourists. As a result, you can enjoy the many benefits of the place in complete tranquillity. You can also go to the neighbouring island of Koh Yao Yai, which is just as pleasant.
Koh Phi Phi Ley
This is Thailand's most famous island. It owes its worldwide fame to the 2000 film The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Virginie Ledoyen and Guillaume Canet. Viewers were treated to the sublime beach of Maya Bay, with its crystal clear waters surrounded by rock formations. Sadly, this was its undoing. Tourists came in droves - up to 5,000 a day, often staying only ten minutes to take a photo before getting back on their boat. This mass tourism caused great damage, such as the destruction of the coral and a lot of pollution. In order to reverse the trend, the government decided to close the island's bay until 2021. Once reopened, the number of visitors will be limited and boat parking will be prohibited.
